Hye Jim: It may sound smarmy, but I'm a big believer in what you say has a role in how your reality turns out - so when you say ["I'm never going to have sex again. I'm never going to find true love. I'm never going to make it as an actor. I'm going to die poor, alone, and in the gutter. Nothing is going to work out for me. My life is meaningless, and this is as good as it's ever gonna get."] that is giving it more power to actually happen. Acceptance of where you are in the present is good (actually, is really good for being OK with the crap) but it doesn't have to mean that you won't allow for life to give you some pleasant surprises in time. Of course, this is spoken as the 'queen of manifesting' as my husband calls it. I have been known to light a candle or two to ask for the powers of the universe to help me (an old pagan trick)- with suprising results. My best tool is to put my concerns and desires on a slip of paper into a 'god box' and ask for help. It is fun to look in the box years later and see that most everything was resolved in one way or another over time. You aren't alone out there, nor are you any less worthy than anyone else to have enjoyment in this life.

Hi Jim Are we in the same vicious cosmic circle? I am not pagan, as Grace is, but I do have chronic depression so I am very empathatic as to how you are feeling. All of my best wishes Jim, in the end, I don't believe that our destinies are pre-determined. Only malleable. Tenfold
