Funny entry! I think poo is said because it's cuter and more polite than poop. I guess. But, you're right. Poop is funny to say. I giggled when I read it. I heard "no worries" from the crocodile dundee movies so it might have come from that, but that's pretty vague. And for the record, I remember pebbles and bam bam.

haaaaaahaaaaa! I loved this. What I don't like is when these youngsters say, "My bad," and "It's all good!" Those just sound stupid to me for some reason. Also, "Dude!" makes my teeth grind. I'm fussy that way. BJ and I once dressed as Pebbles and BamBam for Halloween. Yes, we were very cute.

Hi, Jim! Very funny entry. I much prefer "poop" over "poo." Do you think that South Park's "Christmas Poo" episode has impacted this word's popularity (or did it merely reflect an already existing trend?). Some sociologist (or linguist) with too much time on his or her hands should investigate further.

Trying to catch up... I get teased all the time by the younger set here for using slang they feel I'm "too old" to use. Guess I should stop watching so much MTV. The "No worries" deal is Australian. I think people started using it alot when the Crocodile Dundee movies were popular. This was a fun entry to read.
