Jim: I'm finally practicing as a vet (my first week) and it is totally great. So keep following your dream!! I sensed this is what I wanted to do for a long time, but during the process of becoming a vet I just started putting one foot in front of the other to get it done. It felt like I was insane to have done it, but wouldn't quit because I'd given so much up to even try it. And,yes, there is an obvious down side (people wanting me to kill their dog b/c it smells, or they're mad at their wife). I'll need to figure that out just like you'll have to figure out taking parts that are stupid but pay the bills. Just keep being the best Jim you can be, committed to using up your life and gifts to the fullest, and you'll be awesome.
