I thought Munich was amazing...at least way better than the two most recent Spielberg flicks. Brokeback was excellent. Loved Crash. Desperately wanting to see the other two.

I have seen 'Crash' three times now. It was actually required viewing for one of my courses at MSU last fall. Usually I can't stand watching movies in school. Our chairs are hard with straight backs, and the rooms are never darkened completely. This was a hot day, and the room was positively steamy. Tbe other students seem to agree; there is usually a lot of uncomfortable squirming, and students take very long bathroom breaks frequently. 'Crash' was different. The room was silent. Everyone was riveted. I forgot how hard my chair was, and was transported somewhere entirely different. In a classroom full of strangers, I *did* sob, as the majority of people reported they did. When I saw it, I thought they had cleverly used LA as an allegorical setting, which represents a much larger area. The movie isn't just about racism in LA. It's about the way racism operates in modern culture on a very large scale. Well, in my opinion anyway. This was all a big tangent. What I really wanted to say was that I appreciated hearing your opinions of these movies. I still haven't gotten to see Munich, but will try it out after reading this. Thanks; Wendy
