I like the black and white photo of you in your header here. I've always thought that said, "versatile, funny, smart, warm, friendly" to me. It makes me smile. Also, keep in mind those things you mention are cosmetic and can be changed with a few $$ and a lot of pain. (But remember what happened when Jennifer Grey fixed her nose!)

You DO "have a lot" -- but the looks thing... it's like "packaging" -- superficial, but yet, can determine whether you are "purchased" so they can enjoy the delectable CONTENTS of the "packaging". Of course, with show biz, part of the product IS "the look" and what does it communicate to our shallow TV consumers... How about "love child of Elvis Presley and Billy Joel"?

Handsome leading me come a dime a dozen. I've always been a bigger fan of character actors (Steve Buscemi, Peter Lorre, Joe Pesci, Jim Hoffmaster) to name a few. I think people who have a unique look and feeling can really make it far in acting (longer than a lot of their "beautiful" counterparts who, once their looks start to go, don't have much to offer anymore).

Ditto to Carrie, Jane and Mark's comments. I think it is easier for the average person to relate more to a character actor than a Brad Pitt type actor. After all, how many of us are in the Brad Pitt looks league? Not many!
