Sounds like a great time, and perhaps a valuable one. Maybe a little exploration will uncover not only some opportunities to perform, but a little pocket money, perhaps more! I would guess that other than location shoots in Belize or something, gigging at night could mesh nicely with your film and video work. Very cool Jim

That sounds like an absolutely awesome experience, Jim! I'm really glad that you had the opportunity to do it (and sounds like something that'd be fun to do every year!) Plus, the fact that your abilities were validated and encouraged by real "experts" shows that your harmonica playing is definitely a marketable skill!

Indeed -- amen to what Dick said. The question now is, do you know where/how to promote yourself as a singer/harmonica guy? Best to get on that while your "jam camp experience" is fresh. Maybe you could even still communicate with them about how/where to look for actual paying gigs. And maybe more importantly -- to find opportunities to feel good about performing -- even if it isn't for $$.
