about the scroll thing...maybe your "ScrLK" (ScrollLock) key is on? Maybe your mouse -- if it has one of those scroll wheels -- needs replacing? Maybe some key on the keyboard is stuck? Maybe you're too near another electrical field and it's affecting the computer? I know it's annoying.
