I'll take a stab at amature psychology. You're in a bookstore or coffee shop. Spending so much time working in a bookstore, I'm assuming this represents your non-acting employment. You're a performer, so if there's a performer in your dream, I'm going to lean towards believing that he represents you. Being that James Taylor is a pretty big success as a performer, let's think of James as being an embodiment of your success as a performer. You're having a hard time seeing James, though you get fleeting glimpses of him. Sounds a lot like your acting career right now. You realize that though you're a little unsure of yourself, James (success) might be real. Maybe that's why you see it in a distance. I'm not sure how you feel about country music, but I'm guessing that going to see the country music represents settling. Again assuming you're the performer, you don't want to be a cheap country musician, when you could be James Taylor. Again since I'm assuming you're the performer/s, it's interesting that you know there's an audience, but you have a hard time seeing them. Much Like you have fans out here, but have a hard time seeing us. Garage/bike shop. Even though it transformed, I still think it represents your non-acting jobs. You're afraid you're locked in and no one is around to help. Heck even if you get out of the bookstore/garage/non-acting job, you're not sure you could go anywhere, because your bike is broken. Seems to be a bit of anxiety at being trapped in a "regular" job and a little pent up insecurity at being able to go anywhere given the chance. You also noted the panic/frustration and no one being able to help you. That fits in pretty well with your life, I might even guess that the mechanic not giving you the help you need, could be your agent. Anyway. I think it's a typical anxiety-induced dream, perhaps triggered by the recent ArcLight worries.
