Haha -- Just watched South Park and it was about your "Internet addiction. The internet was out and Kyle's family got in the car to drive out to "Californy" like in Grapes of Wrath..."'cause I hear they got some Internet out there" -- but wind up in a camp where they have to line up for 40 seconds of internet time...

Not a writer myself, but I know a number of successful novelists, and deal with scores of other authors, both fiction and non. When I do happen to speak about their work with them, the big ugly truth that comes out is that writers write. Every day. Most at a specific time. One that I really admire, and who is currently a midlist author (good sales but not stellar) rises at 3:30 every day and writes for three hours before heading out to work. (Successful Chi. attorney) Perhaps the one I've become closest to claims you must fight the inner censor, and simply sit down and right, whatever, anything, just write. You edit later, not in your mind. He also says that every thing not written is an aborted child of beauty. Well, something like that. Go to it Jim, what've you got to lose?

My friend Kevin, who is a writer, said the same thing, Dick (And my writer friend Cary before him). So it seems everyone's in agreement: To be a writer, you have to actually WRITE(I KNEW there was going to be a hitch in my plan somewhere...!). Right now, my "Inner Censor" is kicking my ass, but I've decided this is my next, long-overdue "bold move", so I'm going to tell old I.C. where to get off.
